Storm X-Men Character concept

This image is a callout shot to work out the look and design. I wanted the costume to be inspired by Storms original Dave Cockrum costume from Giant-Size_X-Men #1, but with some Wakandan influences aswell. I imagine it would be cool if Storm was introduced into the MCU by the Black Panther in some way. Maybe at a time when she was being worshipped as a God in Kenya. So for her costume I imagine T'Challa gearing her up with Wakandan technology, but also keeping some decorative elements in respect of her time in Kenya. So the Jewel in her costume is a Baringo Ruby with a gold surround with the Adinkra symbol 'ASASE YE DURU' which represents Mother Earth. As for casting id go for Dewanda Wise - she has piercing eyes like Ororo and is a really great actress. I think she was cast for a role in Captain Marvel but had to drop out, so maybe it was meant to be! Next up - Production style painting and posting of the back view
